Most in stock items are shipped by Canada Post’s Expedited Parcel service or by UPS. All parcels are insured up to $100. Items that ship directly from the designer may ship via Canada Post, UPS or FedEx or (for some larger, heavier items) a freight forwarder.
Please note that some of our wonderful designers are based in the UK and the US - items that ship from these suppliers may incur additional fees for which you will be liable (customs and brokerage). Please refer to the shipping info for a particular item where it will be noted if an item ships from a supplier outside of Canada.
Some oversize products may be subject to extra delivery fees above our normal flat rate fee (and some items have a mandatory shipping charge from the supplier which we are required to charge). Any special shipping costs will be noted at the end of the product description.
do you offer free shipping?
Yes, we work hard to keep our shipping costs as low as possible and whenever possible we are pleased to offer free shipping (for example, we currently offer free shipping on all bedding sets). The best way to find out about our free shipping offers (and other discounts) is to subscribe to our weekly newsletter - enter your e-mail address in the signup box on our homepage.
what about international orders?
Orders shipped outside of North America will be charged the actual cost of shipping. When you place your order the delivery charge will show as $0. We will contact you within 1 business day with a shipping quote which will be charged to your credit card once you have approved it. If you prefer not to go ahead with the order we will cancel your order and refund your card.
If you would like to receive a shipping quote before placing your order please contact us and we'll be happy to give you an estimate of costs.
Please note that some items are only available for delivery within Canada and to the US. This will be noted on the product page.
International orders will not be charged sales tax but you may be liable for customs charges on some items.
when will my order be sent?
Your order will usually be despatched within 2 business days (usually the same day) with the exception of special order/ custom items which may have a longer lead time (check an items product description for more details).
where do you ship from?
In stock items ship from our warehouse on Vancouver Island. Some items (usually items that are made to order or large, bulky items) may ship directly from the designer.
do you have a store I can visit?
No, we're an online store only although if you're lucky enough to live in Nanaimo or Lantzville (or thereabouts) we're happy to arrange FREE local delivery. Contact us to find out more.
what about e-gift cards?
e-gift cards will be sent to the recipient’s e-mail address instantly upon receipt of payment.
can I track my order?
Yes, when your order is shipped you will receive an e-mail with the estimated shipping time and a tracking number (if available).
when will I get my order?
For Canadian orders shipping via Canada Post’s Expedited Parcel service, delivery of regional orders (British Columbia) should be 1 – 3 business days and national orders within 2 – 7 business days (although remote areas may take longer).
US and international orders take approximately 7 – 10 business days to arrive.
my purchase is a gift. can I have it delivered to another address?
Yes – just fill out the recipient's address and contact details in the "delivery" section at checkout. A confirmation e-mail and receipt will be sent to you.
do you ship to PO Boxes?
We cannot ship to PO Boxes. You must provide a street address.
