how do I set up an account?
It's simple. When you add a product to your shopping cart you will have
the option to "proceed to checkout" or to "continue shopping". When you
click “checkout” simply fill in the requested information. You will be
asked if you want us to remember your details. If you select "yes" once
the checkout process is complete your account information will be
securely stored in our database. The next time you return to Purl Mama
your name and address details will automatically appear.
do I have to set up an account?
You do not need to set up an account to place an order with Purl Mama, however, if you do
your customer information is securely stored on our database and you won't have to
re-enter your details the next time you place an order. As an account holder you may
also receive exclusive offers and discounts.
what are my payment options?
We accept MasterCard and Visa . You can also redeem any e-gift card, store credit or special
discount mailed or e-mailed to you by entering the appropriate code when checking out.
can I order by phone?
Absolutely. Contact us (click on "contact us" at the top right of the page)' let us know when you'd like us to call and we'll be in touch. We are available
Monday to Friday from 10am until 3pm PST. Outside of these hours e-mail
messages are checked regularly and responded to quickly.
I tried to call you on the number that used to be listed here but it didn't work...
Yes, sadly we have unlisted our number temporarily because we were receiving endless (and we really mean endless) unwanted telesales calls that were taking up way too much of our time (and wow, some of those callers can be a touch aggressive!) We have changed our phone number - to call us just click on the words "contact us" (at the top of the page on the right hand side) and we'll be happy to call you or send you our new number so you can call us. Yes, we know it's all a bit "secret squirrel" but seriously those phone calls were driving us crazy (and just so you know these people pay no attention to those opt- out lists).
can I order by fax?
Yes – just download our order form, complete it and fax it to
purl at 250-751-3632.

how do I purchase an e-gift card?
Not sure what to buy? An e-gift card makes a great gift and can by purchased simply by
clicking on the "gift card" icon on the homepage. Just select the card with the desired
dollar amount and from there it's the same easy checkout process as buying anything
else on purl.
I have been given an e-gift card. how do I redeem it?
It couldn't be easier – just choose the products you like and click on
"checkout" where you will be asked to enter your delivery details and
the unique id and pin number that are on your gift card. An e-gift card
is valid for all products on our site and it never expires.
what currency are your prices in?
All prices are in Canadian Dollars.
will I be taxed?
We are required by law to charge Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 5% on
all orders shipped to Canadian addresses. In addition, we are required
to charge Provincial Sales Tax (PST) of 7% on all non-exempt items
shipped to British Columbia addresses. Purchases of baby clothes and
shoes are PST exempt.
No sales taxes are applied to orders shipped outside of Canada. Please note that you may
be liable to pay customs and duty charges.
what do I do if the item I want is out of stock?
We receive new stock shipments regularly. Contact us by phone or e-mail
and we will be glad to reserve an item for you.
the discount code I've entered isn't working
The code may have expired or the code may be incorrect - contact us and we'll double check for you. Please note that coupon codes usually can't be used for special order items (check under "additional info" - you'll find any special order info listed there).
